My office hours
I work flexible hours and therefore send emails at times that work for me. There’s no need for you to respond outside your own working hours.
The table below is a rough guide to the times when I do not have regular commitments. I am unlikely to respond to calls or emails outside these times.

Getting the best from me
I do my best work when I have a clear written brief. So that I can do my best possible work for you, I may ask you for more detail or clarification before I start.
- What’s the deadline? Are there any interim milestones?
- What are your expectations for communication?
- What deliverables do you want from me?
- How will you assess whether I’ve done a good job?
- What templates, reference documents, or sample materials might I need?
- What information should I include in my handover?
- How will you hand over files to me? How should I hand them back?
- Who should I ask if I have a query?
How to talk to and about me
I use they/them pronouns. Don’t worry—it’s not a big deal if you make a mistake! But if you’d like to learn more, here’s an example of how to refer to me:
NJ is going to a meeting and they are going to take their laptop. Could you bring a charger for them? They forgot to bring theirs. They’re kicking themselves about it!
I am very happy to answer questions, so please do ask if you’re unsure. You can also read the articles listed below under Links to learn more about pronouns and how to use them in a professional setting.
